These beautiful fresh strawberries are delightful and make a fresh and bright colour swatch. I call it fresh strawberries.
Did you know that the strawberry which grows all over the world, is not really a true fruit in the strict botanical sense, but a member of the rose family, the genus Fragaria? The cultivated strawberries we see in the supermarket are descendants of inspired cross-breeding of the North American, Virginia strawberry, the native wild strawberry of the eastern states of United States which was introduced into Europe from the Americas in 1610 and the Chilean strawberry. From their marriage came hybrid strains which created the number of varieties that have developed since then.
