A new carbon-free, smart city will begin to rise in a couple years just southeast of the Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, Norway’s busiest. Oslo Airport City will cover four million square metres and take thirty years to be completed. The masterplan has been developed by the Norwegian firms Haptic Architects and Nordic – Office of Architecture in collaboration with the British firm Buro Happold Engineering.
