The Peace Sowers

The Peace Sowers by Walter Molino

The Painting of John F. Kennedy and Pope John XXIII, entitled the “Peace Sowers,” was done by Walter Molino (1915 – 1997). Molino shows the men moving hand-in-hand through a plowed field scattering “seeds of goodwill.” Molino’s placard underneath the painting reads;

The two who sowed the good seed, God’s seed, in 1963 – are gone forever. What Pope John XXIII and the President of the United States of America, John F. Kennedy, did for the peace of the world will remain forever in history and the hearts of mankind.
