Architect and interior designer
Rinaldo Petrini (b.1931) is an Italian educator and architect. He was born in Pistoia and lived and worked in Milan.

In 1969, he served as coordinator of the ICSID pedagogical group. He began his teaching career in 1965 at the University of Tennessee and in 1967 at the University of Montreal, where he taught industrial design. He served as director of design research and industrial development at the University of Nairobi in 1971 and as a conservation and restoration instructor at Paris’s Institut d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme in 1972. He was an ADI member (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale).
He was Decorated Knight Royal Order Cyprus, Royal Order Norman Crown, Order Malta, Order St. George, Order Sword of Silence, grand bailiff Academician Internationale Burkhardt Academie, Accademia Clementina Bologna, Italy, Golden Legion L’Accademia Tiberina. Pope Paul VI bestowed the Bene Merenti gold medal on him in 1973.
