Cat Videos a Path to Happiness

Kitten Cute

No member of the animal kingdom has garnered internet fame like the humble domestic cat.

I always think if you’re going to procrastinate then do it with mindfulness and intention. Internet Cat Videos have always been one of my favourite ways to procrastinate. New research indicates that Videos can provide significant health benefits. Yes, it’s true watching their online antics can boost your energy levels, hiking in your positive emotions and decrease negative feelings.

Nearly 2,000,000 Videos got posted to YouTube in 2014. In fact, Cat Videos received more views per video than any other of YouTube content categories. The research study surveyed approximately 7000 Cat Video viewers. The respondents to the survey answered questions about the cat video viewing habits across a variety of websites. The most popular places for turning to Videos Cat was on YouTube and Facebook.

Cats have their own unique personalities, they behave like they do not need people and they operate independently.  There is a sense that they are not performing for us.  We then start to project human personalities, traits and characteristics onto them.  People do not favour cat videos because they are inherently stupid or shallow – but because Kitties on camera makes us feel good.

There is also the practical consideration is that they are one of the most popular human companion animals and everybody has a smart phone now so that helps continue the relationship.

Cat Videos make you more confident

The results of the research were extremely optimistic. The respondents in a Survey said they felt more energetic and more confident after watching Cat Videos online. According to German researcher Dolf Zillman that people will gravitate towards content that either (a) make them feel better or (b) maintain their current mood.

Good new for Procrastinators

The critical thing for procrastinators was that the pleasure experienced from watching Cat Videos seem to outweigh any guilt they felt about procrastinating.

The Internet has many positive benefits. Watch one Cat Video for every piece of negative news that you experience.
