Donald Nxumalo, one of the bright lights of the 2018 Design Joburg, has announced the renaming of his company. Previously known as DNX, Donald Nxumalo will now be known simply as Donald Nxumalo. Donald Nxumalo will be the brand’s name and the monogram will be DNX. The explanation for this shift is that people are more attracted to the man’s persona and personality. This change has improved Donald’s location and corresponds to the type of job he does. It exemplifies the “personal touch” that people adore and value.
Donald Nxumalo Interiors, his first company, was founded in 2011 and has since wowed clients and the industry all throughout Africa. His philosophy for collaborating with clients is simple, “My clients must see themselves in what I bring together. I allow the space to be themselves and they allow me to be me.” The process is always a team effort that is built on trust. He loves working with clients who come to him after having a conversation with themselves about their vision and distinct expression. “The happiest clients are the ones who understand why they came to me,” Donald continues.
Donald has worked hard to attain success and be recognised as one of the country’s most talented designers. His clients are appreciative of this, and they seek out his knowledge and creative ideas to assist them in expressing themselves.
Donald has won a slew of prizes and received widespread acclaim for his work. Donald has been recognised as a formidable and dependable design talent who remains grounded and focused, with awards from the Mail and Guardian, Elle Deco, Destiny Man, and House and Leisure, as well as accolades from the Mail and Guardian, Elle Deco, Destiny Man, and House and Leisure.
