Love Forever: Yayoi Kusama, 1958-1968. Yayoi Kusama (b. 1929, Nagano, Japan) created the painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, and installation work in New York during her most significant years, from 1958 through the late 1960s. Kusama created a body of work that substantially contributed to the increasingly internationalised art scene by combining aspects of Minimalism and the emerging Pop style.
