The World Press Photo Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The organisation, which was founded in 1955, is well-known for hosting an annual press photography contest. Since 2011, World Press Photo has held a separate annual contest for journalistic multimedia productions, as well as the Tim Hetherington Grant, in collaboration with Human Rights Watch.
