The thriving history of the brand with the winged hourglass continues with the new Longines Pilot Majetek, a beautiful update to its landmark timepiece from 1935 that still feels very retro.

The original version from 1935 had a diameter of 40mm, but the new version has a diameter of 43mm, which is much bigger.

With white Arabic numbers for hours, a railway minute hand, Rhodium-tipped baton hands, and a triangular “starting time indicator” around the edge, the display is easy to read and doesn’t get in the way.

The watch has been updated to meet modern standards. Still, its most recognisable features, like its easy-to-read numbers, small seconds subdial, cushion-shaped case, fluted bezel, and triangular indicator, give it a perfect retro look (Many, n.d.).
