Academic Contributions and Independent Ventures

In 2000, Glen Oliver Löw took his expertise to academia, accepting a professorship at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg. His influence on young designers is immeasurable, guiding them through the complexities of product design with the same rigour he applies to his professional work. During this period, Löw also launched his design studio, working with renowned brands such as Steelcase and Thonet.

The Ollo Chair: A Response to Modern Workspaces

One of Löw’s significant recent contributions is the development of the Ollo chair for Knoll. Designed to support today’s flexible and mobile work environments, the Ollo chair is a perfect blend of mid-century aesthetics and contemporary functionality, reflecting Löw’s philosophy that design begins with addressing a problem.
