After five years of posting and blogging as the Director of Bailey Street Design, I have decided to take the blog in a different direction.
This move has been evolving for some time, and I have developed clarity with the new site direction over the last six months.
The glaring difference is that www.baileystreetdesign.com will change names to www.encyclopedia.design. This reflects a change in my circumstances as I will no longer be offering digital design services.
Instead, http://www.encyclopedia.design will gradually evolve into a comprehensive design reference guide. I intend to provide accurate and detailed information on designers, firms and works, directly associated with the production of decorative and applied arts over the last 150 years.
Most of my posts will be for designers of furniture, textiles, glass and metalware, jewellery, wallpaper and interiors as well as ceramists, industrial designers and interior architects. The aim of this site will be to comprehensive as possible. I feel that I have enough content to now formally move in this direction.
I will have more to say about http://www.encyclopedia.design over the next few months.
