The Gingko Octagon One Plus combines a rechargeable LED desk lamp with a touch-controlled digital alarm clock housed in its hexagonal wooden base. Designed in-house by Gingko in Warwick in 2020, this compact object brings lighting, timekeeping and wake-up functions together in a sculptural form suitable for a desk or bedside table.
The walnut version is made from sustainably sourced natural wood. Its illuminated arm can be positioned at four angles, while touch controls provide four brightness levels. The lamp contains 36 LEDs and produces up to 324 lumens at a warm 3700K colour temperature, with a colour-rendering index above 90.
A rechargeable battery allows cordless use for approximately 7–48 hours, depending on the selected brightness, and takes around three to four hours to recharge. The integrated display remains discreet when inactive and reappears when the base or a nearby surface is tapped. Users can choose either a gradually brightening light or a conventional beep as the alarm.
The lamp measures approximately 395 × 95 × 45 mm and weighs about 850 g. Its adjustable lighting, compact dimensions and integrated clock make it particularly suitable for small workspaces and bedside settings.
