The GIF that is Frustrating the Entire Internet

This article forms part of the Decorative and Applied Arts Encyclopedia, a master reference hub providing a structured overview of design history, materials, movements, and practitioners.

A GIF by Feliks Konczakowski showing a satellite approach, reminiscent of Google Maps, where you zoom in but never quite reach a detailed view.
An artistic representation by Feliks Konczakowski, where a satellite zooms in, offering a clearer view but never quite revealing the full details of the location.

The internet is a double-edged sword, and we know that very well, so much so that sometimes something as simple as a GIF can affect us greatly, no matter how simple it is. Please see a section of my blog post on Fractal Geometry.

And that’s what happened with a GIF created by the Polish visual artist Feliks Konczakowski. It shows us a satellite approach, like Google Maps, that gives you a clearer picture of what is actually in the location.

The problem? You approach but you never get to see in more detail.

Folks, it is a slow news day.
