As the head of Herman Miller’s Textile Division since its inception in 1952, he produced some of the most vibrant fabrics available anywhere. Girard’s folk art collection decorated Herman Miller buildings and filled their Textiles & Objects Shop in New York. They filled the Girard Foundation with almost 100,000 artefacts.
