French Decorator & designer – Jacques Klein
Jacques Klein was a French decorator and furniture designer. In 1942, he founded his firm, 31 rue de Miromesnil, Paris, after designing wallpaper and rugs for the Galeries Lafayette department store in Paris. Delepoulle and Gouffe both made some of his furniture.
The work displayed in Salons d’Automne began in 1920. The dining-room suite (with Laurent Malcles) was shown at the 1922 Salon des Artistes Décorateurs, while the bedroom by Delepoulle was established in 1922 d’Automne. He stopped participating in the Salon d’Automne in 1928 but continued with the Societé des Artistes Décorateurs after World War II.
