
Federico Carandini is an Italian Industrial and furniture designer and the former creative director of Cerruti Baleri. His furniture collections combine the splendour of the past with the prospect of the future, and they are designed for a contemporary home that favours functional, comfortable, and elegant pieces. To create these unique pieces, Epònimo collaborates exclusively with local artisans through a production process that is mainly handmade and always hand-finished. The result is a series of refined and timeless functional décor objects.

Background
Carandini is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the modern furniture industry. He is skilled in Strategy, Branding, Line Development, Design Management, Concept Development and Production Management. Strong arts and design professional with a BFA with university honours focused in Industrial Design from Carnegie Mellon University.

Biography
He worked as a designer in New York City from 1990 to 2003, including for his consulting agency, Fede Carandini Design, which had clients like Ralph Lauren Home. While living in the U.S., he taught industrial design at the Pratt Institute in New York and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Since moving to Milan in 2003, he has taught at the University of Milan and Bocconi University. He worked as the art director for Baleri Italia from 2004 to 2013, when he founded the contemporary furniture company Eponimo. Carandini teaches courses in industrial design at Syracuse Florence (spring only).
