Marco Zotta (b.1945) is an Italian Designer born in Padua. He was professionally active in Milan, known for its innovative and cutting-edge design scene. A unique blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal characterizes Zotta’s work. His designs are often inspired by nature and the environment, and he has a keen eye for detail that is evident in every piece he creates.
Education
He studied architecture until 1973.
Biography
Zotta’s work spans various disciplines, including furniture design, product design, and interior design. He has collaborated with some of the world’s leading brands, and his work can be found in homes and businesses around the globe. Zotta’s legacy inspires new generations of designers who seek to push the boundaries of what is possible in the design world.
He designed furniture and furnishings and lighting for clients, including Fargas, Le Cose, Studio Grando, Stilnovo and Evoluzione. He became a member of ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale).
Rainbow Lamp (See Above)
Italian Enlightenment Company produces original desk or table lamps in Italy (CIL). The rainbow lamp was created in 1979. It was a huge success because it is now a part of the Museum of Modern Art’s collection of New York designs (MoMA). The name of the lamp, “Rainbow,” alludes to the elegant arc it creates. Aluminium with an epoxy coating makes up the lamp. It has two brightness levels and uses a halogen bulb.
