George Adams-Teltscher (1903 – 1951) was an Austrian Theatre & Graphic Designer
Education
Between 1919-20, he studied applied arts in Vienna; 1920-23, Bauhaus, Weimar.
Biography
He participated in the theatre-design activities at the Bauhaus. In 1925, he was a theatre designer in Vienna and subsequently an advertising graphic designer in Hamburg and Berlin. In 1934, he emigrated to Barcelona and, in 1938, to London, where he taught until 1951.

He created the Hay internment camp’s money after being deported there as an enemy alien during World War II. After his release in 1941, he returned to the United Kingdom and made a living as a cartographer and propaganda artist. Before he died in 1983, he had lived in Nigeria for a while and worked as a graphic designer for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
