Professional Career
He began his professional career in industrial design in 1968. Prina’s writing and publishing activities were extensive. He researched plastics; Prina’s first work was the 1968 one-piece bed by Moltani, Giussano. His clients in Italy included Sormani, Cassina, FEG, Aba Design, Roller, Bazzani, and Cazzaniga. Prina was a member of ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale).
“Collezione Pak” armchair

The “Collezione Pak” armchair is reminiscent of De Stijl principles, a simple interpretation that marries two traditional materials—glass and wood—to form an object far more fragile than it may appear. Prina designed the armchair so that the glass and wood never touch due to the advanced unique adhesive (made of acrylic resins) for connecting black steel cylinders that separate the glass from the painted wood. The colour range includes combinations of black, white, red, yellow-green, and blue.
Editorial Endeavors
Beyond his design work, Prina has made substantial contributions to design journalism. In 1969, he became the director of “Ville e Giardini,” a magazine dedicated to architecture and design, a position he held for several years. (AtKris)
His work was shown in the 1972 ‘Design a Plasticke Hmoty’ exhibition at the Umeleckoprumyslove Muzeum in Prague.
